Routine Blood TestI going for a routine blood test on Friday, I haven had one since I was a child and my doctor isn concerned (I just had my yearly physical in January) but says I can if I want. don eat within 3 hours of going to bed, chocolate milk is the best after-workout beverage Acheter Des PO, breakfast should be your biggest meal of the day couldn find any recent blood-test related posts hence the new topic, sorry if there is one lurking in the shadows that I missed. Any advise would be great!Hi, I am a medical laboratory scientist, so I am the person running those blood tests in the lab! Most people don't get routine blood work until they are 25 years old or to aid diagnosis due to symptoms. The doctor will probably draw at least a lavender tube for a CBC (Complete Blood Count) and a Gold tube for a BMP (Basic Metabolic Panel). The CBC will test your red and white blood cells and Hemoglobin and Hematocrit values. The BMP will test your liver enzymes a few other elements in your body. If the MD suspects something else, he/she may order an ferritin, B12, coag panels, thyroid testing, hormonal testing, urine test wow gold, etc. (The list goes on and on :) ) Your MD will probably only contact you if you have abnormal values. The actual results probably won't make much sense to you without some background knowledge on reference ranges anyways. Good Luck, it will be over before you know it!I'm not sure about fasting but when I came in with headaches and etc, the doctor surprised me by saying she'd like to draw some blood to do some bloodwork and I was scared since I never had one done (or I did as a kid and I don't remember. *shrugs*)It went easier than I thought it would and I sort of scolded myself for being scared. However, I do have to say it does depend on the nurse and how well your veins show. Lucky for me, my veins were very easy to find and she was very gentle. You'll be ok. :)It is worth fasting so you can see triglycerides wow gold kopen, cholesterol etc. for future reference. Some of the other things they test for are also more consistent if you have been fasting and it might be useful to look back on this test at a later date to see if anything has changed. It is the nature of lab tests and probablility, that out of so many things that they check for, one or two may be out of the "normal" range. Usually, the Dr. won't even mention those to you, unless there is some sort of relation between the things that are off gw2 gold.Original Post by oldguysrule:It is worth fasting so you can see triglycerides, cholesterol etc. for future reference. So if he doesn't request for your triglycerides/cholesterol etc to be tested, they won't be and so fasting would be relatively pointless.
